Pre Care
Medical History Disclosure: It's crucial to disclose your complete medical history to the permanent makeup artist. This includes any past surgeries, medical conditions, allergies, medications you're currently taking, and any history of cold sores or herpes simplex virus (HSV) outbreaks.
Cold Sore History: If you have a history of cold sores or are prone to outbreaks of herpes simplex virus (HSV), it's essential to inform the permanent makeup artist if you are scheduled for Satin lip blush. Cold sores can be triggered by stress or trauma to the skin, such as the microtrauma caused by permanent makeup procedures. If you are prone to cold sores please contact your doctor to obtain a prescription for an antiviral medication to help prevent outbreak that could affect healed results.
Avoiding Certain Medications and Supplements: In the 24 hours leading up to your permanent makeup procedure, avoid taking blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements like vitamin E and fish oil, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. No alcohol for 24 hours before. One cup of coffee is fine the morning of if needed but best if it’s avoided. These can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the procedure.
Skin Preparation: Follow any specific skin preparation instructions provided by the permanent makeup artist. This may include avoiding sun exposure, exfoliating treatments, and skincare products containing retinol or glycolic acid in the days leading up to the procedure. It is advised to avoid retinol products around the area of work for a week before.
Hydration and Nutrition: Maintain good hydration and nutrition in the days leading up to your permanent makeup procedure. Proper hydration and a balanced diet can help promote optimal healing and skin health.
Follow-Up Appointment: Ensure that you schedule a follow-up appointment with the permanent makeup artist to assess the healing process and make any necessary touch-ups.
FOR SCALP
Avoid Sun Exposure: It's advisable to limit sun exposure to your scalp for at least three days before the procedure. Sunburn or excessive exposure to UV rays can make the scalp more sensitive during the treatment.
Avoid Hair Treatments: Refrain from any hair treatments such as coloring, perming, or chemical straightening at least one week prior to the procedure. This helps to ensure that your scalp is in optimal condition for micropigmentation.
Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications: If possible, avoid medications or supplements that thin the blood, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for 24 hours before the procedure. Consult your healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen.
Stay Hydrated: Maintain good hydration levels by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to the procedure. Hydrated skin tends to respond better to micropigmentation.
Wash hair night before procedure with warm water
By following these detailed before instructions, you can adequately prepare for your permanent makeup procedure and minimize any risks or complications. Always consult with your doctor and the permanent makeup artist for personalized guidance based on your individual medical history and needs if you have any specific questions.

FOR SCALP
After Care Instructions for Scalp Micropigmentation Procedure:
Avoid Prolonged Sun Exposure: Protect your scalp from direct sun exposure for at least four days after the procedure. Wear a hat or use a sunscreen specifically formulated for sensitive skin to prevent fading of the pigmentation.
Avoid Swimming and Sweating: Refrain from swimming and intense physical activities that cause excessive sweating for at least two weeks post-procedure. Prolonged exposure to water or sweat can interfere with the healing process and affect the pigmentation outcome.
Gentle Cleansing: Clean your scalp gently with a mild cleanser after the third day. Avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area to prevent irritation or premature fading.
Moisturize Regularly: Keep your scalp moisturized with a non-greasy, hypoallergenic moisturizer recommended by your micropigmentation technician. Apply the moisturizer as directed to maintain the hydration of your scalp and promote healing.
Avoid Scratching or Picking: Resist the urge to scratch or pick at the treated area, as this can disrupt the healing process and cause uneven fading of the pigmentation. If you experience any itching or discomfort, gently pat the area instead of scratching.
Follow-Up Appointment: Schedule a follow-up appointment with your micropigmentation technician as advised to monitor the healing progress and make any necessary touch-ups or adjustments to the pigmentation.
